The NDPP has rubbished reports stating that Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio was recently summoned and questioned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). In a statement issued by the NDPP, the party termed such reports as false and malicious.
The NDPP further added that such reports have been fabricated and spread by unscrupulous elements whose sole intentions are to defame Chief Minister Rio as well as the office he occupies.

Vehemently condemning the act, the NDPP demanded that the state government leave no stone unturned to identify, apprehend the culprits immediately and book them under relevant laws.
Earlier, reports had surfaced that CM Rio was interrogated by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with the non-existent High Court building at Kohima for which over Rs 70 crore has already been withdrawn. the foundation of the High Court was laid in 2007.
