Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will embark on a 3-day visit to Nagaland as part of the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra. He will reach Nagaland on the second day after commencing the yatra in Manipur on January 14.
Rahul Gandhi will be arriving at Khuzama village (Nagaland-Manipur border) on the evening of January 15 and will halt the night there. He will be touring in a bus, informed Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee President Supongmeren Jamir.
According to the travel route released by the party, the Congress leader is expected to cover a total of 257 kilometres in Nagaland.
Gandhi will proceed to Kohima from Khuzama on January 16 and is likely to address the people at Phoolbari Junction, thereafter he will proceed towards Tseminyu district, wokha district, VK town and conclude the yatra at Mokokchung district on January 18. He will procced to Amguri from Mokokchung on the same day.
The President also informed that the leader will have a series of interaction with people during the yatra.
The Congress on December 27, 2023 had announced that Rahul Gandhi will embark on 6200-km-long Bharat Nyay Yatra, the name was later changed to Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra. The journey will start from Imphal and end in Mumbai. The yatra is scheduled to cover 85 districts in 14 states.
