President Droupadi Murmu to paid her tributes to the fallen heroes during her visit to the Kohima War Cemetry. Prez Murmu who is on a visit to Nagaland paid homage to the bravehearts who made supreme sacrifice on the line of duty in and around Kohima during World War II.
Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio who accompanied President Murmu during her visit to Kigwema village, termed it as a great honour for the state. Rio said that Kigwema, is one of the largest villages, which has historical significance as Japanese soldiers were stationed here during WWII & fought the Battle of Kohima.

Prez Murmu also interacted with members of at least 34 Self Help Groups (SHG)s who showcased their efforts in diverse aspects.
Chief Minister Rio also expressed his gratitude to President Droupadi Murmu for visiting the Kigwema village. After concluding her Nagaland visit, Prez Murmu will be leaving for Mizoram.
