NSCN-IM accuse former CM Dr SC Jamir of ‘scheming’ with centre
The 16 Point Agreement can never be brought back as the basis for the Naga political solution: NSCN-IM
In a fresh development concerning the Naga Peace Talks, the NSCN-IM has accused former chief minister and governor Dr SC Jamir, of “scheming” with the Centre to destroy the very foundation of the Naga political identity.
The NSCN-IM, in the latest press release, reiterated that the root of the never-ending Naga political problem lies in the 16 Point Agreement, thereby questioning the Centre for seeking the guidance of Dr Jamir, the last living architect of the agreement.
It further affirmed that the 16 Point Agreement which was rejected and condemned by the Naga people years ago can never be brought back as the basis for the Naga political solution.
The NSCN-IM alleged that Nagas have suffered much because of the depths of cruelty and treachery in the hands of SC Jamir and that it was tragic that the centre was turning to Jamir for guidance. Besides, the NSCN-IM also expressed displeasure with the MHA for allegedly hobnobbing with SC Jamir.
