Nagaland set to host Hornbill festival 2022

CM Neiphiu Rio reviewed a meeting at the Bamboo Hall, Kisama with all departments to kick start the preparation for the Hornbill Festival 2022.
Nagaland is looking forward to this year’s edition of the Hornbill festival, the state is preparing to host the festival on a grand scale and even extend the festival involving the 5 new districts of the state. This year’s edition of the fest will be the first ever Hornbill festival for the five new districts.
Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio reviewed a meeting at the Bamboo Hall, Kisama with all departments to kick start the preparation for the Hornbill Festival 2022.
Commissioner and Secretary, Kitto Zhimomi, updated on the progress of the work at the Heritage Village and informed that the festival will be extended to involve the five new districts of the State.
Chief Minister Rio gave special focus on basic amenities such as providing cozy and comfortable facilities to the visitor, drinking water, food, and sanitation.
Meanwhile, Advisor, Tourism, Art and Culture, H. Khehovi Yepthomi added the festival has been helping small business owners and helped in reviving, preserving, and encouraging inter-tribal interaction.
