In an effort to eradicate the practice of proxy teachers in Nagaland, the Department of School Education has issued a notification, directing heads of Government Schools to ensure that no teacher under their establishment engages in the practice.

The Education department informed that there have been certain instances where people have replaced the names and photographs of teachers with the proxies and instances where service books have been fussed.
