The ad hoc teachers in Nagaland have decided to call off the stir after 12 days of agitation. The move comes after a key meeting between the All Nagaland Ad Hoc Teachers 2015 group, the All Nagaland School Teachers Association or ANSTA, the Principal Secretary to CM, the Commissioner and Secretary of School Education & SCERT, and Joint Mission Director Samagra Shiksha.
As per sources, it was unanimously decided that a High Powered Committee will be set up within the next 15 days which will be headed by Principal Secretary or Commissioner Secretary.
The HPC will then submit its recommendation by June 2023, and thereafter take up the issue to resolve the matter of the ANATG-2015 Batch within December 2023.
Further, it was also decided to continue with the service extension for the teachers till the matter is resolved. However, this dispensation would not be applicable to proxy and untrained teachers.
The issue of the 7th Revision of Pay will be based on the recommendation of the HPC, and ANATG 2015 batch, as well as the ANSTA members, will be given the opportunity to present their cases before the committee.
The HPC has also been tasked to hold a review meeting on the issue every 2 months.
