‘Investment for the Future’; 1st Nagaland Edu Connect Conclave underway

Advisor, Medo Yhokha lamented that the political unrest in Nagaland is stopping investors from investing in the State.

With an aim to attract prominent educational institutions to open branches of the institutions in Nagaland, the first Nagaland Edu Connect Conclave got underway at the Capital Convention Centre, Kohima.

The conclave which is organized on the theme ‘Investment for the future’ is being jointly organized by the Investment & Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN) and Northeast Education Council or NEEC.

The inaugural session of the Conclave held on Tuesday was attended by the Advisor, school education, and SCERT KT Sukhalu as the Chief Patron and the Advisor, Technical Education, and Elections Medo Yhokha as the Keynote Speaker. Among others who attended the inaugural session of the conclave were the Vice-Chancellor of Mizoram University, Prof KRS Sambasiva Rao, and the Vice-Chancellor of North East Christian University, Dr Darlando Khathing.

The Advisor, School Education, and SCERT KT Sukhalu in his inaugural address stated that the Edu Connect Conclave is an opportunity being brought to the doorsteps of the students’ community.

He urged them not to shy away from but make the best use of the opportunity at their disposal. Various other presentations on scholarships, career guidance, faculty development, etc. were also highlighted during the day.

Delivering his keynote address, Advisor, Medo Yhokha lamented that the political unrest in Nagaland is stopping investors from investing in the State. The Advisor added that the State Government is committed to providing all possible help to them.
