No irregularities found in recent MPSC examinations: Mizoram CM Lalduhoma

Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma today informed that there were no irregularities found in the recent civil service examinations conducted by the Mizoram Public Service Commission (MPSC).
Briefing newspersons in Aizawl, Lalduhoma stated that from the report of the inquiry conducted and submitted by M Lalmanzuala- former chairman of MPSC and former state chief secretary- there were no irregularities found in the civil service examination conducted in 2013, and added that no marks were altered by the examiner and tabulator.
The Mizoram CM’s statement came in response to allegations levelled by the Mizo Zirlai Pawl (MZP). The student’s organisation had also sought resignation of MPSC chairman J.C. Ramthanga and staged sit-in demonstration in front of the MPSC office.
Furthermore, the Chief Minister added that the inquiry officer conducted an in-depth study and thorough investigation into the alleged irregularities, and that reports of the investigation submitted is approved by the government.
Lalduhoma also said that after the dissolvement of the Mizoram Sub-Ordinate Service Selection Board (MSSSB), the Mizoram Public Service Commission has been strengthened by transferring many staffs and officers from MSSSB.
It may be mentioned, that the MZP had alleged that irregularities took place in the conduct of a combined competitive examination held in October last year as marks obtained by some candidates were found altered on answer papers and tabulation sheets using correcting fluid.
