Mizoram Registers 2 Covid-19 Cases

Amid a recent surge in Covid-19 cases in some states of India, Mizoram has reported 2 cases.
Both patients are currently under care at Zoram Medical College & Hospital, Falkawn. The department has assured the public that there is no need to panic, as most reported cases across the country are being managed with home isolation and care.
Mizoram had last recorded a Covid-19 positive case in October 2024. Throughout 2024, the state registered a total of 73 cases.
Meanwhile, the Mizoram State Level Task Force on Covid-19 held its first meeting under the chairmanship of Health & Family Welfare Secretary H. Lalengmawia in Aizawl.
The meeting focused on the preparedness of the Health & Family Welfare Department to combat the virus, including a review of existing facilities and measures in place for timely intervention.
To further inform the public and promote safe behaviour, the Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP), National Health Mission, and the Health & Family Welfare Department issued a Covid-19 advisory earlier today.
