An unfortunate incident that triggers horripilation has come to the fore from south Mizoram’s Lawngtlai district. Reportedly, a 107-year-old Buddhist monk was burned alive and 5 buildings were completely gutted when fire broke out at a Buddhist temple in Mizoram-Bangladesh border Longpuighat village in Lawngtlai district on Wednesday. As per reports from Lawngtlai, the fire started at the residence of the deceased monk. The cause of the inferno is still yet to be ascertained, however, an electric short circuit was suspected.
