Juvenile Slits 54-Year-Old Woman’s Throat in Mizoram for Few Hundred Rupees

The victim has been identified as Thahleiiangi (54), a resident of Champhai Vengthar, in Champhai district.

A juvenile has been detained in connection with the brutal murder of a 54-year-old woman in Mizoram.

It is suspected that the juvenile, allegedly killed the woman by slitting her throat so that he could steal money, said police.

The victim has been identified as Thahleiiangi (54), a resident of Champhai Vengthar, in Champhai district.

Thahleiiangi was found dead inside her shop located near her home on Sunday morning by her customers, who later alerted police.

On receiving information, a team of Champhai Police rushed to the scene, recovered the body and launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crime.

Today, police have taken the juvenile suspect into custody and are working to gather more details and any additional context that led to this tragic event.
