The Excise and Narcotics Department of Mizoram on Monday seized a huge quantity of heroin from Bulfekzawl area in Mizoram’s Champhai district near the Indo-Myanmar border.
Police have also apprehended three people in the connection.
As per reports, the market value of the seized heroin is Rs 14 Lakh.
According to reports, the seized heroin weighing 503 grammes was seized from two different places across the state.
Mizoram’s Excise and Narcotics Department officials conducted the operation with the Assam Rifles personnel in the Bulfekzawl area after receiving a tip.
Meanwhile, the arrested persons have been booked under various sections of the Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.
