Aizawl Police apprehend cell phone thief, recover more than 40 stolen handsets

In a major operation in Mizoram’s Aizawl District, team of Bawngkawn Police apprehended one individual involved in mobile handset theft. The apprehended individual has been identified as 22-year old Thangngaihpianga

In a major operation in Mizoram’s Aizawl District, team of Bawngkawn Police apprehended one individual involved in mobile handset theft.

The apprehended individual has been identified as 22-year old Thangngaihpianga of Churachandpur. Police have recovered as many as 46 mobile handsets from his possession, the combined value of which amounts to more than 9 lakh.

A cash amount of Rupees two lakh thirty six thousand five hundred ninety has also been recovered from the arrested individual’s possession. Reportedly, he stole the mobile handsets and the money from RC Mobiworld Store located at Mizoram’s Bawngkawn.

Meanwhile, Police is investigating a link of his involvement in previous mobile store thefts. Further invcestigation into the matter will bring to light more details.
