2 Arrested with 3,000 electric detonators, 700 metres cordtex and war-like stores in Mizoram’s Zokhawtar, Champhai

Security forces recovered 3,000 electric detonators, 700 meters of cordtex, and other war-like stores.

In a crackdown on explosives, Assam Rifles and Mizoram Police seized a cache of detonators and war-like stores and arrested two persons in connection with the case in Mizoram.

The explosives were recovered during a joint operation in Zokhawthar, Champhai district on Saturday.

During the operation, security forces recovered 3,000 electric detonators, 700 meters of cordtex, and other war-like stores.

The arrested individuals, along with the seized explosives, have been handed over to Mizoram Police for further investigation.

Authorities are probing the origins and intended use of the recovered materials.
