Rikman G Momin Re-Elected as Meghalaya BJP President

In his address to the media, Momin expressed deep gratitude for the trust placed in him and reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the party.

Rikman G Momin has been re-elected as the State President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Meghalaya today.

Under Momin’s leadership, Meghalaya BJP is positioned to become a significant political force in the state.

In his address to the media, Momin expressed deep gratitude for the trust placed in him and reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the party.

“During my previous term, some members may not have been fully satisfied. Let us now work together sincerely for the party. This party belongs to all, not just the president. Let’s unite to uplift our state for the future,” he said.

Momin’s leadership will guide the BJP’s state unit for the next 3 years.

His initial election to the role took place on September 25, 2023, succeeding the tenure of former state president Ernest Mawrie.

Meanwhile, AL Hek (MLA and Minister), Sanbor Shullai (MLA), and Ernest Mawrie have been elected as National Council Members, further reinforcing the party’s structure in Meghalaya.
