Ahead of the crucial meet of Assam and Meghalaya CMs with Union Home Minister Amit Shah on the inter-state border issue, Meghalaya deputy chief minister Prestone Tynsong has urged all stakeholders to be practical in their approach.

Tynsong reiterated that in case of any dispute a middle path has to be taken. No state can make the sacrifice alone, Tynsong said adding that the stakeholders and those opposing the inter-state border agreement on 6 areas of difference must understand the reality.

It may be mentioned that there has been opposition from several quarters to the proposed inter-state border agreement between the two states.

Earlier Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma has informed that a meeting will be held with Union Home Minister Amit Shah on the inter-state boundary issue with Assam.

Chief Minister Sangma informed that the all crucial meeting is slated to be held around 4.30 pm on March 27th.
