Meghalaya: Road accident in Mawblei claims two lives

The bodies of the deceased were shifted to Shillong Civil Hospital for the post mortem.

In a tragic incident, at least two persons were killed in a road accident after a truck overturned in Meghalaya’s Mawblei on Wednesday morning.

The fatal accident took place on the National Highway-6 in Mawblei, Shillong.

As per inputs, the truck was ferrying fish. It was coming from Jowai but upon reaching Mawblei near the Hyundai showroom, it overturned due to brake failure.

The two deceased were identified as the handymen of the truck. The driver of the truck sustained minor injuries.

The bodies of the deceased were shifted to Shillong Civil Hospital for post mortem.
