Meghalaya: Noted Psychiatrist Jasmine Mary Lyngdoh joins NPP, to fight from Nongthymmai

Jasmine Mary Lyngdoh said that she is very happy that the suspense over candidature is finally over.

Ahead of the Meghalaya Assembly elections scheduled early next year, Deputy Chief Minister and NPP leader Prestone Tynsong on Monday, formally announced the candidature of a noted psychiatrist, Jasmine Mary Lyngdoh from the Nongthymmai constituency, during a joining ceremony in the state capital.

Speaking on the occasion, Tynsong said that the party leadership decided to allot ticket to Lyngdoh seeing her potential to serve the people of the Nongthymmai constituency to her best capability.

He also said that the policy of the NPP is different from other political parties since it decides to announce candidate as soon as possible to prevent any confusion.

Elated by her decision to join the NPP, Lyngdoh said that she is very happy that the suspense over candidature is finally over. According to her, the NPP is a party with a vision to make Meghalaya progressive under the leadership of the young and dynamic Chief Minister.

On the occasion, the NPP state president formally inducted the office bearers of the newly constituted Nongthymmai Block as well as the women’s wing and youth.
