Meghalaya: Boost to cancer treatment infra soon

CM Conrad Sangma reviewed the progress of the ongoing construction works in the cancer wing of Shillong Civil hospital.
Meghalaya will soon be a step ahead as far as treatment of cancer in the Northeast region is concerned.
The cancer treatment facility at the Civil Hospital in Shillong, is all set for a transformation to provide quality cancer care treatment to the patients.
Chief Minister Conrad Sangma today reviewed the progress of the ongoing construction works in the cancer wing.
Briefing newspersons, Chief Minister Sangma said that certain things had to be changes and an overall improvement will be to the existing facility, since it was used as a COVID-19 centre during the pandemic period.

The Meghalaya Chief Minister expressed his happiness over the fact that fast progress has been made into the works.
Chief Minister Conrad Sangma is hopeful that the entire facility will be ready to be used by December first or second week.
However, the new equipments will require few more days to be installed, than the stipulated date of completion of works.
