Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma today took stock of the flood situation in Garo hills, as incessant rainfall continues to batter several parts of the state.
Accompanied by Selsella MLA Arbinstone B Marak, chief minister Sangma visited the flood-hit areas of Silkata, Haripur, and Namabila in the plain belt areas of West Garo Hills district.
Interacting with the flood-affected people of the area, chief minister Sangma informed that he has directed the administration to provide all necessary assistance and relief to the affected people.
“The motive behind my visit here is to ensure you that the administration will provide every possible help to each one of you. I have visited several affected areas personally and I have taken stock of the situation there,” chief minister Sangma added.
“If you feel there there exist some loopehole somewhere, then feel free to inform about the same to the MLA, or the BDO or the SDO. We will look into the matter immediately,” Sangma added.
