Meghalaya Assembly Guard Found Dead, Suspected Drugs Found Near His Body

The deceased was identified as Lachuman Shrestha, who was a Chowkidar at the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly.

An employee of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly was found dead at his workstation today.

The deceased was identified as Lachuman Shrestha, who was a Chowkidar at the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly.

Shrestha was found dead in his chair by fellow staff members, who immediately informed the police.

On receiving information, local police rushed to the scene and recovered Shrestha’s body alongside suspected drugs near his desk.

The exact cause of death is yet to be ascertained.

Police sources informed Northeast Live that the circumstances leading to Shrestha’s death will be clear after the postmortem.
