Meghalaya Education Minister Lahkmen Rymbui has stated that the decision of the University Grants Commission to conduct Common University Entrance Test or CUET for admitting students in undergraduate courses will be a disadvantage for students of Meghalaya as the exam will be based on NCERT syllabus.
Rymbui added that the CUET will bring in complications not only in Meghalaya, but other states following their own board and prescribed curriculum.
