CM Conrad Sangma address demands of SSA, ad hoc teachers

Meghalaya chief minister Conrad Sangma has  worked out the modalities of paying the pending salaries of SSA teachers in the state. The assurance from the CM comes at a time

Meghalaya chief minister Conrad Sangma has  worked out the modalities of paying the pending salaries of SSA teachers in the state. The assurance from the CM comes at a time when the SSA teachers have accused the government of going back on its promise to pay 2 months pending salaries.

Sangma also said that the government is also examining the demand of ad hoc teachers for a raise in salary.

The teachers of Meghalaya have been on warpath over the alleged government apathy towards their demands. The Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan teachers for quite some time have been pressing the government to release their pending salaries.

Later the ad hoc teachers too started protests for upgradation of their posts and increase in their salaries.
