Body of Shillong boy drowned in River Brahmaputra recovered

The police have recovered the body of Rahul Chettri, who drowned in the Brahmaputra on Monday.

Rahul, along with his friend Hibor Lalu, had gone for a bath to Panikahaiti near Guwahati and both drowned in the river Brahmaputra on Monday.

Following this, the authorities launched a rescue operation.

Hibor’s body was recovered on Tuesday, while Rahul’s body was recovered on Wednesday, three days after the incident.

Both the deceased hail from Shillong.
