The Chief Minister also informed that the NDRF from Guwahati has been requisitioned by the West Garo Hills district administration. Besides, the SDRF Shillong has been sent to Tura as standby. Chief Minister Sangma further informed that the Civil Defence, Police, Fire & Emergency Services, as well as the local administrations, have been activated to address the situation arising out of heavy rainfall, with several landslides and severe flooding reported across the Garo Hills region.
