The Meghalaya Chief Minister emphasised that people must adhere to precautionary measures although the gravity of the situation is not as serious as it was during the outbreak of the Delta variant.
Chief Minister Sangma said,”The trend of COVID is there, the testings are taking place. But whatever evidence we have seen in the last few months or weeks, it is a milder version compared to the previous ones.”
When asked about his response on whether there is any shortage of vaccines, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma replied,”Regarding vaccinations, yes there could be shortage keeping in mind the fact that if you have to vaccinate everybody with the booster shots than we will not have enough for everybody, but these concerns are being taken up with the Government of India.”
