Manipur police has yet again foiled a massive inter-state drugs trafficking racket. Brown Sugar weighing over 600 grams and estimated to be worth over Rs 1.44 crore in the international market was recovered from a vehicle during a frisking operation at the Kondong Lairembi check point in the border town Moreh.

The contraband was concealed in 60 soap cases and was recovered from a tourist vehicle coming in from Meghalaya.Three individuals identified as Sahidul Islam, Ajimuddin Khan and Abdul Halim all originally from Assam have been arrested in connection with the seizure.

Meanwhile, cash rewards were also handed over to the Police team for successfully busting the drug racket.
