This road stretch of Manipur comes under 4 MLAs but the condition of the road is deplorable

Angry locals have closed the Imphal-Andro road, a key road, for the third day today but the 4 MLAs are nowhere to be seen
Four constituencies, four MLAs, one road. The Imphal-Andro road is a key road in Manipur’s Imphal. It connects four constituencies- Thongju, Keirao, Andro and Yaishkul Assembly Constituencies which means the upkeep of the Imphal-Andro road is the responsibility of all the four MLAs. But not one of them seem to care about the condition of the road or their people in these four constituencies.
Interestingly, Thongam Bishwajit, MLA of Thongju is Manipur Minister for Power, Forest,Environment and Climate Change, Agriculture, Science & Technology and Thokchom Satya barta Singh, MLA of Yaishkul is the Speaker of the Manipur Assembly.
Lourembam Rameshwor Meetei is the MLA from Keirao and Thounaojam Shyamkumar is the MLA from Andro.
The condition of the road has been in a deplorable condition for past 3 to 4 years, affecting thousands of people across the four Assembly Constituencies. Left with no option, the locals have shut the road for commuters since July 20.
What is appalling is that despite the road being shut for three days, neither the MLAs nor the Manipur PWD Minister Govindas Konthoujam have visited the place or met the locals.
The indefinite blockade along the crucial Imphal-Andro Road has entered its third day today.
Despite the road connecting 4 different assembly constituencies, no action has been taken yet to repair the dilapidated road.
Despite numerous appeals and petitions to the concerned Minister, local MLAs, and government departments, no action has been taken. The bad condition of the road has caused a lot of inconvenience to the people. Many fatal accidents have taken place and it has become a nightmare to transport sick and old people through the road.
Angry protesters, including local residents, and members of local clubs and organizations, are united in their demand for immediate repairs. They also said the bandh will continue until the government takes concrete action to repair the road.
The protesters have vowed not to back down until their demands are met, emphasizing the urgency of the situation and the need for immediate intervention.
