The BJP continues with its high-profile campaigning for Manipur Assembly Elections with Union Minister for Women and Child Development Smriti Zubin Irani arriving in the state today.
Irani attended the flag hoisting ceremony of Education Minister Sorokhaibam Rajen, who is the BJP Candidate for the 17 Lamsang Assembly Constituency.
Addressing the gathering, Union Minister Smriti Irani took a jibe at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. Giving an example of her Lok Sabha constituency Amethi where she defeated Gandhi in 2019, Irani said an individual who is not confident of leading his party can’t make big promises.
Chief Minister N Biren Singh, Manipur BJP President Sarda Devi, BJP National Spokesperson Sambit Patra, Union Minister of State Pratima Bhoumik, Manipur Election Co-in charge, Ashok Singhal also attended the rally.
Meanwhile, addressing the gathering, BJP National Spokesperson Sambit Patra lauded Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Chief Minister Biren Singh for implementing the Inner Line Permit in Manipur.
