Rocket Attack on Ex-Manipur CM M. Koireng’s Residence, One Killed

The rocket was launched form Churachandpur hills targeting the former Chief Minister's residence located at Sendra in Bishnupur
After drones, today a long range rocket was fired at the residence of former Chief Minister M C Koireng killing a priest on the spot.
According the sources, the 10 km range rocket was locally made.
The rocket was launched form Churachandpur hills targeting the former Chief Minister’s residence located at Sendra in Bishnupur.
The conflict now seems to have evolved into a sophisticated warfare, involving drones and rockets.
Earlier this morning, armed men targeted civilian areas in Bishnupur district.
As per inputs, tension erupted at Tronglaobi after armed men fired a RPG from the hills side that caused extensive damage to private property.
At least 2 houses were damaged in the attack. However, no loss of life has been reported in the attack.
Following the blast, an intense crossfire reportedly erupted between the armed men and security forces who swiftly responded to the attack.
Till last inputs came in, heavy firing between forces and the miscreants was underway.
It may be mentioned that Manipur witnessed a fresh escalation after armed men carried out bomb attacks using hi-tech drones, at Koutruk village in Imphal West that led to the death of a civilian.
