All eyes are set on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s crucial visit to poll-bound Manipur today, and also the state of Tripura which goes to assembly elections in 2023.
As per sources, the Prime Minister is expected to land in Manipur around 10. 30 a.m. today.
During his visit, the Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for 22 Developmental Projects worth over Rs. 4800 crore in Imphal at around 11 a.m.
He will inaugurate 13 projects worth approximately Rs. 1850 crores and lay the foundation for 9 projects worth nearly Rs 2950 crore in Manipur.

These projects cover a wide range of sectors, including road infrastructure, health, drinking water supply, urban development, skill development, housing, information technology, art and culture, and so on.
Thereafter, the Prime Minister will head towards the state of Tripura at around 2 p.m where he will inaugurate the New Integrated Terminal Building at Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport in Agartala.
Besides, the Prime Minister will also launch two key development initiatives–Project Mission 100 of Vidyajyoti Schools and Mukhyamantri Tripura Gram Samriddhi Yojana.
Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiradiya Scindia and senior officials of the Airports Authority of India would also be present at the programme.

The Vidyajyoti Schools Project Mission 100 aims to improve the quality of education in the state by converting 100 existing high/higher secondary schools to Vidyajyoti Schools with state-of-the-art facilities and quality education.
The project, which will cover approximately 1.2 lakh students from Nursery to Class XII would cost Rs 500 crores over the next three years.
