After Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh called a meeting with Manipur University Students’ Union President Dayaman Singh today at 3 pm, the MUSU president turned down the Chief Minister’s invitation.
Speaking exclusively to Northeast Live, the MUSU President said that he will not meet the Chief Minister untill and unless the arrested university students and teachers are released.
Speaking on the appointment of the new University Administrator Jarnail Singh, Dayaman expressed hope of bringing some normalcy into the University.
The MUSU President further appealed the state government to remove the security personnel from the University campus.
Dayaman Singh also said that the MUSU will extend its full support to the enquiry committee until and unless its final reports are out.
