Manipur war on drugs: Huge cache of contraband seized; 1 held
During a search operation, one person identified as Md Ephammayum Ethem who was carrying a white plastic sack was detained by police.
In a big seizure, Manipur police recovered a huge quantity of contraband from Imphal East on Tuesday.
Acting on information regarding the movement of contraband items from Lilong to Mantripukhri area, a team of CDO Thoubal led by O Wangkhomba rushed towards Mantripukhri area in Imphal East at 11.30 am on Tuesday.
During a search operation, one person identified as Md Ephammayum Ethem who was carrying a white plastic sack was detained by police.
After observing necessary formalities, the person and his belongings were searched and subsequently, 11,602 Spasma Proxybon or SP tablets were found inside the sack.
The arrested person along with the seized contraband was handed over to Heingang PS for further necessary action.
