Union Minister and BJP leader Smriti Irani who hit the campaign trail today stated that 5 years of good governance under Chief Minister N Biren Singh will ensure a BJP clean sweep in the state.
She also indicated that N Biren Singh will be the BJP’s CM face once again even as she said that the party and its lotus symbol are what matter the most to the people.
Irani during her poll rallies invoked the women power of Manipur. Irani lauded the women’s power and women’s pride that Irani and the BJP tried to reach out to today.
While campaigning for BJP candidates in Lamsang and Wangkhei Assembly Constituencies, Irani paid tributes to the women of Manipur and highlighted the BJP’s women empowerment efforts.
Moreover, during the poll rally in Wangkhei Irani, Smriti Irani also joined the women folk taking part in local Kabui dance.
Meanwhile, ahead of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Manipur on February 21st, Irani made a direct attack on the former stating that somebody who ditched his own party at the time of crisis has no moral ground to preach.
And both Smriti Irani and party leader Sambit Patra who campaigned for BJP candidates in various assembly constituencies appealed the crowd to Boycott Rahul Gandhi and display No Entry placards during his visit.
