Manipur is reportedly reeling under a severe water crisis with almost all of its major rivers drying up. Things have come to such a pass that people in many areas of the state are struggling to get even a few drops of water, whether for drinking or domestic purposes. The only option for some is to buy water from private suppliers. Even Manipur University students and hostellers are bearing the brunt of the issue. Students are mostly drinking water on their own from canteens and stores to cope with the crisis.
