Manipur economic blockade: 6 AMTDGF members detained

Police to take all possible measures so that movement of vehicles are not affected owing to the shutdown called from midnight tonight.
The Manipur Police is fully prepared to ensure that no untoward incident happens during the proposed indefinite economic blockade called by the All Manipur Tribals Development Grievances Forum (AMTDGF).
Speaking to Northeast Live exclusively, Manipur ADGP L Kailun said that the police will take all possible measures to ensure that movement of vehicles are not affected owing to the shutdown called from midnight tonight.
Manipr ADGP L. Kailun further said that necessary security arrangments will be in place to deal with the situation arising out of the proposed indefinite economic blockade.

The Manipur ADGP informed that 6 people have already been detained-3 each in Senapati and 3 in Kangpokpi district in connection with issuing the bandh call.
L. Kailun said that law will take its own course against the detained individuals.
Manipur ADGP L. Kailun reiterated, “I am assuring that maximum security measures will be in place for the ongoing so called economic blockade.”
