Manipur insurgency: Active UNLF cadre detained from Bishnupur
Acting on reliable inputs, a team of CDO BPR under the overall guidance of SP Bishnupur detained one person at around 1:30 pm Tuesday.
In another big success for Manipur’s crackdown on insurgency, an active cadre of proscribed United National Liberation Front (UNLF) outfit was arrested from Bishnupur district.
Acting on reliable inputs, a team of CDO BPR under the overall guidance of SP Bishnupur detained one person at around 1:30 pm Tuesday.
The accused has been identified as Khangembam Imocha Singh who hails from Kumbi Lai Maning Leikai in Bishnupur district.
As per sources, the arrested individual happens to be a cadre of UNLF who joined the outfit in March 2004 through one Raju of Kangsoibi Mapal, Bishnupur district.
The cadre was arrested in front of Janata Jewellery, Moirang Bazar and after observing due formalities was handed over to Bishnupur PS for further legal action.
