Manipur: Bomb explodes in front of Imphal East Zila Parishad President’s home

A bomb blast rocked Manipur’s Imphal East at the wee hours of April 6 Wednesday. The low intensity bomb blast took place at Achanbingei Mayai Lekai area in Imphal East
Reportedly, the blast took place right in front of the gate of the house of Pungshubam Bimola Devi who is the president of Imphal East Zila Parishad.
The bomb reportedly went off at about 3 in the morning
No casualty or injury has been reported from the incident. Police in the meantime have launched the probe into the matter. It is being suspected that underground miltant outfits might be behind it.
