Manipur: AMMOCOC adopt resolutions to bring peace in Manipur

The AMMOCOC President made it clear that the community will oppose if state’s integrity is hampered

The Pangal Muslim community of Manipur has resolved to leave no stone unturned to protect the unity and territorial integrity of Manipur.
The All Manipur Muslim Organizations Coordinating Committee (AMMOCOC) President, SM Jalal, speaking to the media, said “the Pangal community is unanimously resolved through its civil society organizations (CSOs) on the present unrest situation in Manipur.”
The AMMOCOC President informed that the community has adopted some resolutions on behalf of the community to put on hold the ongoing ethnic clash in Manipur.
He further said that the 10 CSOs will urge Union Home Minister Amit Shah to
- Take immediate and necessary action so as to put an end to the on-going ethnic clash in Manipur.
- Take immediate and necessary action so as to restore peace and harmony, bring about normalcy in the state of Manipur, and safeguard the lives and properties of the people of Manipur.
- Compensate and rehabilitate the affected victims and people, and steps be taken so as to restore trust and a sense of safeguarding among the people of Manipur.
- Take up steps and measures so as to protect the unity and territorial integrity of the State of Manipur, failing which the Pangal community of Manipur will leave no stone unturned in a democratic manner so as to protect the unity and territorial integrity of the State of Manipur.
- Take steps so as to protect the interests of the minority community of Manipur.
The AMMOCOC President made it clear that the community will oppose if state’s integrity is hampered.
