Manipur: 3-Day International conference on revitalizing environment and resilient agriculture concludes

A total of 153 research papers including oral presentations and poster presentations were accommodated in the session

The 3-day international conference on revitalizing environment and resilient agriculture hosted by central agricultural university, Iroishemba Imphal concluded successfully on Sunday with applicable recommendations.

R K Ranjan Singh, Union minister of state Education and External Affairs graced the closing event as chief guest in presence of Dr. B R Kamboj, vice chancellor CCS HAU Hisar Haryana; Dr. Suresh Kumar Chaudhari, DDG ICAR; Dr. Indira Sarangthem, Dean college of agriculture CAU Imphal and Dr. Anupam Mishra, Vice Chancellor CAU Imphal.

Altogether eight technical sessions were organized during the 3 days of the international conference.

A total of 153 research papers including oral presentations and poster presentations were accommodated in the session.

The vice-chancellors of different agricultural universities and former and present directors of ICAR research Institutes of the country were also present at the conference.

Besides stalls having natural farm products of ICAR Institutes/KVKs, state development departments, the college of agriculture Iroishemba CAU Imphal and NGOs exhibited their activities.

R K Ranjan union Minister of education and external affairs focused on the importance of natural farming and exhorted the efforts of CAU Imphal.

Speaking to Northeast Live R K Ranjan suggested sharing technology and experience with other countries.

On the other hand, Dr. Indira Sarangthem termed the three-day international conference on natural farming a successful one and a big achievement taking into account all recommendations and suggestions given by delegates.
