In a huge success for law enforcement in Manipur, Bishnupur police arrested 3 persons involved in kidnapping and hijacking of non locals from Kwakta Bazar in Bishnupur district.
The arrest was made with reliable inputs about the presence of a gang who were involved in kidnapping and hijacking of vehicles in an around Kwakta Bazar.
The combined team of Commando and Police arrested the 3 individuals identified as Abdul Noor, Md. Atajuddin and Md. Sanatomba from Kwakta ward. The gang was involved in the kidnapping and hijacking of two Non Manipuris identified as Rijetuddin and Wahidul Islam both from Assam.
Upon Interrogation, the trio revealed that they have hidden the Victim’s vehicle at Kwakta ward near IVR road and added that they have freed the victims in the evening. A small shot gun used in the kidnapping and hijacking was also recovered from the Kidnappers along with the vehicle.
Meanwhile the three arrested persons along with the recovered items have being handed over to Moirang Police Station for further necessary legal action.
