Japan Embassy donates ophthalmology equipment to Shija hospital in Manipur

Shingo Miyamoto unveiled the Japan flag and plaque to mark the inauguration of Eye medical equipment donated from the people of Japan to Shija Hospital

The Embassy of Japan represented by Mr Shingo Miyamoto, minister of economic & development on Wednesday donated eye medical equipment to Shija Hospital in Manipur.

The formal inauguration ceremony was held at Shija Hospital attended by Shingo Miyamoto, minister of economic and development Embassy of Japan in India, and Dr Kh Palin CMD Shiha hospital as a guest of honor.

Shingo Miyamoto unveiled the Japan flag and plaque to mark the inauguration of Eye medical equipment donated from the people of Japan to Shija Hospital under the Grant Assistance for the Grassroots Project (GGP).

Speaking to the media Shingo Miyamoto stated that this grant has been provided under the GGP Scheme of the government of Japan as part of its official development schemes for developing countries around the world; a token of friendship between Japan and India.

With the donation of eye medical equipment, Shija hospital has added 6 new sophisticated Ophthalmic Solution, valued at 65, 225 USD
Meanwhile, Dr Kh Palin, CMD Shija Hospital expressed the significance of the Grassroots Project that actually affects the lives of common people on the ground. Dr Palin also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the people of Japan for their generous assistance.
