The All Kongba Road United Clubs and Organisations and residents living along the stretch had been holding an indefinite blockade of the road since July 19.
Peeved with inaction of the Manipur Government and concerned authorities in improving the condition of the dilapidated imphal-Andro road, protestors today cut the power supply to the Manipur Secretariat for almost two hours.
The power supply was restored after Minister Th Biswajit rushed to the place where the protestors were protesting and convinced them to restore the power supply.
Members of the All Kongba Road United Clubs and Organisations and residents living along the road stretch had been holding an indefinite blockade of the road since July 19.
Chief Minister N Biren Singh met the protesting locals on July 23 and assured them that the road would be fixed soon.
The CM said that funds have been allocated and the work order would be released soon.
