BJP started its high profile campaign as top party leaders are reaching the state to drum up support for the candidates of the Saffron party.

Assam Chief Minister and NEDA convenor Himanta Biswa Sarma, who is already in Imphal, attended the flag hoisting ceremony at the residence of L Susindro Meitei, the BJP candidate from Khurai constituency.

A host of dignitaries, including Sambit Patra, were present at the ceremony. Notably, this is the 2nd visit of CM Sarma to poll-bound Manipur within a week.

Earlier, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma visit to Manipur on February 10, reaffirmed that the BJP will seal victory and will be forming government in the state.

The BJP’s top strategist highlighted that the current Chief Minister N Biren Singh-led government in Manipur has successfully had served the people dedicatedly in the last 5 years, ensured the implementation of ILP in Manipur, and ushered a new era of development in the state.
