2 CPI MPs on 3-day visit to strife torn Manipur

Both MPs have assured to raise the ongoing issues of Manipur in Parliament

Two CPI MPs are on a three-day visit to Manipur to assess the situation in the troubled state.

During the visit, MPs, P Santosh Kumar from Kerala and K Subbarayan from Tamil Nadu, visited relief camps in Manipur’s Thoubal district and interacted with the inmates.

Both MPs have assured to raise the ongoing situation of Manipur in Parliament.

The MPs were accompanied by Leaders of CPI Manipur during their visits to relief camps.

The situation in Manipur continues to remain volatile, with incidents of fresh violence being reported almost every day. Manipur has been on the boil for 63 days after violent ethnic clashes broke out between two communities on May 3.

Earlier in the day today, a woman was shot dead by unidentified miscreants outside Shishu Niketan school in Kwakeithel, Imphal West.
