Ibi Lollen of Arunachal Pradesh has proved her might in the 21st Asian Arm Wrestling Championship held at Ajman in UAE. Lollen outclassed her opponents by winning 2 bronze medals in the mega sporting event.
Lollen won the medals in both left hand and right hand categories in the senior women’s 65 kg weight category.
Around 500 competitors from 16 Asian countries took part in the championship.
Meanwhile, Lollen winning 2 bronze medals comes after a gap of 20 years since an arm wrestler from Arunachal Pradesh has won a medal at the Asian championship.
Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu took to Twitter and congratulated Lollen for her achievement.
Earlier in 2003, the present AAPAWA president and coach Pakjar Taipodia had won one silver and one bronze medal in right hand and left hand categories.
