ULFA-I issues death penalty against two alleged spies

The two accused were identified as Dhanjit Das alias Rupok Asom and Sanjib Sarma alias Rishabh Asom.

The United Liberation Front of Assam, Independent (ULFA-I) on Saturday issued the death penalty to the two alleged moles who were detected within the militant outfit.

The two accused were identified as Dhanjit Das alias Rupok Asom and Sanjib Sarma alias Rishabh Asom.

Both of them were handed out the death sentence by the proscribed outfit for being alleged police spies.

The banned militant outfit made the announcement through a notification that was issued to the media.

ULFA-Independent had recently released a video of the alleged spies where they had confessed to being spies sent by the police.

Moreover, the alleged spies had named a senior official of the Assam Police as being the main person who sent them as spies to infiltrate the ULFA-Independent outfit.

While Dhanjit Das hails from Barpeta district, Sanjib Sarma hails from Kamrup Rural district.
