The ambulance service was inaugurated by Dibrugarh Deputy Commissioner, Biswajit Pegu at a function held at the Gaushala premises on Friday.

Pegu expressed his elation and said that the service would pave the way for the speedy treatment of seriously ill and injured cows.

According to Ashok Dhanuka, General Secretary of Shree Gopal Gaushala, in the past two years, 52 cows have been rescued but unfortunately, only 16 cows could be saved.

Dhanuka believes that more cows could have been saved if, only, they were rescued in time.
