SPL DGP GP Singh to be next Assam DGP

Spl DGP Singh will take over as the next DGP after present DGP Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta retires on January 31

Assam’s Special DGP GP Singh would take over as the next DGP of the state, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced today. Singh would take over from present DGP Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta after he retires on January 31.
In a tweet, Singh wrote that by the blessing and grace of Maa Kamakhya he is looking forward to serving the people of Assam and he also expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Sarma for “reposing trust” in him.
